I have, at last, finished all my RL art projects as of last Sunday afternoon, and between those, my job, the H/D World Cup art and my mom with the broken ankle, life since the first of the year has been insanely busy and I've been exhausted. I pretty much just crashed this week and did nothing. *grin* But I did take a walk in my yard with the camera last Monday afternoon to see what was coming up. :D

This is actually from March, when we got a little snow...

I adore pansies. I plant them in the window boxes outside the kitchen and living room windows every fall, and we have flowers to look at all winter. They finally give out near the end of May when it gets hot and I replace them with other flowers for the summer. Pansies in the window box...

I love how the redbud blooms all over the tree - even on large limbs. Redbud and lichen...

I love how many plants and trees put out red leaves when they are new. The contrast with the green is so lovely.

There is an old fence that runs along the property line between our yard and the empty lot next door. We don't know if it belongs to us or the owners of said empty lot, so we leave it alone. I haven't quite decided if it's pleasingly rustic or just an eyesore. Old gate...

This tree is getting a bit scary. You can see completely through it now, and I'm afraid it's going to come crashing down any minute if there is a storm. Hollow tree...

AND - my little lemon tree, which lives in the house over the winter, bloomed! It didn't set any fruit though. Lemon blossom...

Now I just need to get my seeds started this afternoon. ^.^
